Lifehouse Transitional Housing Village
Building Campaign
There is currently NO residential help for women and children in Tift County and surrounding areas, other than temporary housing at a domestic violence shelter. THE NEED IS GREAT! We are so grateful to our supporters who have given to this ministry to provide the education, resources, and services we are currently offering. Your donations have kept this business alive and our doors open (utilities, materials, resources, mortgage, insurance, etc.). We are operating in the black and doing well; however, our operating budget is higher than what we raise at our annual fundraisers. To move ahead with the residential facility, we have started a Building Campaign. We feel strongly that God is moving us forward and we seek your prayers as we strive to do His will.
We need about 20 acres in order to build this much-needed facility. Each unit would be a small 2-bedroom, 1-bath, single-family home with heat/air and a furnished kitchen. Residents would have to undergo an application/interview and background check and adhere to strict rules and guidelines. This is not government housing. This is for OUR clients who agree to participate in OUR program. Residents must work hard to invest in making a better future for themselves and their children. Some of the requirements will include having a job; having/getting GED, diploma, or college degree; parenting classes; Bible Studies; financial classes, regular church attendance; and more. This is not a homeless shelter...it is a residential program designed to help single mothers transition into their own homes.
If you are a regular donor to Lifehouse Ministries, THANK YOU, and please continue giving so that we can continue the services we currently offer. However, if you would like to make an additional donation and designate it to the building fund, that would help us reach our goal more quickly. Donations are tax-deductible.
