South Georgia Ministries, Inc. is a Christian non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) ministry formed in November 2009.

It's founders are Leslie Broome, LaRae Moore, and Amy White. These women felt called by God to form a ministry that would meet some of the many needs of women and children in the South Georgia area, particularly the overwhelming needs of pregnant teen girls. 

They soon realized that there is no residential facility in the South Georgia area to help pregnant women.

And no one to help the girls/women in crisis pregnancy situations that need shelter. Being a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteer in the Coastal Plains district, and as a Volunteer in the “Earn While You Learn” parenting program at the Tifton Pregnancy Care Center, founder LaRae Moore’s eyes were opened to the severity of the problems faced by many pregnant women and felt strongly that a home should be established in the south central Georgia area to meet the needs of these women.

So these ladies began to pray, seek God’s guidance, and got to work.

And God has blessed. As the Board of Directors has been working on funding for the home, they were also seeking ways to minister to the needs of these women in the interim. One very important area of ministry we sought to offer is education. Many pregnant teens will drop out of high school and spend most of their lives living in poverty. In January 2011, Lifehouse Ministries began operation as a part of South Georgia Ministries, Inc. offering parenting classes and more.  We began at 403 East 2nd Street, the old Carousel House, a county-owned building.

We wish to thank the Pregnancy Care Center for all their support and encouragement, as well as many churches and individuals who have rallied alongside us and helped us get this ministry off the ground. We couldn’t do it without you. Please pray for us as God leads us forward.

In December, 2012 we bought our own facility

God has greatly blessed us and we were able to purchase our own facility with office and classroom space, located at 402 North Park Avenue, Tifton.

We don’t know God’s timing, but we know that He is in control and knows what’s best, so we will patiently wait as He continues to guide us and bless us as we show His love to those He sends our way.
